THE MASTER, Paul Thomas Anderson’s long awaited follow-up to THERE WILL BE BLOOD (2007) will be released in the UK 9th November 2012. Some lucky people in Chicago will get to see it today and to promote such a screening we have a brand new clip for you. The dialogue is engaging, the score is haunting, and there’s a hypnotic quality you can’t quite put your finger on. This is most certainly a Paul Thomas Anderson film. THE MASTER is set in the 1950s and sees Joaquin Phoenix drawn in to a faith based organisation fronted by Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s THE MASTER.
I have my fingers crossed that this will tie in to series 7 of DOCTOR WHO and it is revealed that John Simm regerated as Phillip Seymour Hoffman only to travel back in time to the 1950s. But there’s a chance that might not happen.
If you don’t live in Chicago and need more THE MASTER goodness click here for some stills.
THE MASTER is released in the UK 9th November. It stars Phillips Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, and Laura Dern.
