Whether sublime, silly or the downright shite, an Arnie actioner is always a big deal for many of us. He’s been away from our silver screens far too long (damn you, politics!) but he’s soon gonna kick-ass in a number of projects that have been lined up. While he’s currently back amongst his buddies in THE EXPENDABLES 2, it’s his lead role in THE LAST STAND that will prove if he’s back on form. If the latest poster is anything to go on, this could be bloody epic. However, we’re now able to bring you the first trailer from the film which is set to hit cinemas in January.
THE LAST STAND sees Schwarzenegger as a small-town sheriff whose community comes under attack from a Mexican drug-cartel. Arnie’s co-stars include Forest Whitaker, Eduardo Noriega, Rodrigo Santoro, Johnny Knoxville, Jaimie Alexander, Peter Stormare, Zach Gilford and Genesis Rodriguez. The film seems a whole lot of fun but the sight of Johnny Knoxville in ‘complete tit’ mode does not bode well.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
