Lara Jean Chorostecki has been cast as Freddie Lounds in the TV series HANNIBAL. A strange choice given that the character was previously portrayed by Phillip Seymour Hoffman in RED DRAGON (2002) and Stephen Lang in MANHUNTER (1986). Lounds is the annoying and unscrupulous journalist who met a fiery end at the hands of Francis Dollarhyde.
HANNIBAL is going to see our favourite cannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) in his earlier team-ups with FBI agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) as he helps him solve crimes. This sounds like a mixture between CASTLE and DEXTER but Hannibal is one of those characters where less was more. I still find Brian Cox’s interpretation to be the best and that’s mostly because he does so much with so little. Do we really want to learn more about Lecter?

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
