Cast List Confirmation For Mad Max: Fury Road! Plus More Set Pics

Being a huge fan of George Miller’s apocalyptic action trilogy (or or more specifically the first two), I’m eager to see his return with MAD MAX: FURY ROAD and MAD MAX: FURIOSA (which are currently shooting back-to-back in South Africa), especially following his recent kiddie-friendly outings (HAPPY FEET and HAPPY FEET TWO).

Having Tom Hardy take over the role from Mel Gibson could prove a masterstroke, after he’s now cemented his superstar status as Batman’s nemesis Bane in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Today we’re able to bring you the confirmed cast who’ll appear alongside Hardy and Charlize Theron for significant roles in what will be not only a franchise reboot, but a follow on from previous efforts.

We already knew Nicolas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were also included, and they will be joined by Megan Gale, Nathan Jones, Hugh Keyes-Byrne, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Courtney Eaton, Josh Helman, Jennifer Hagan, iOTA, John Howard, Angus Sampson, Gillian Jones, Richard Carter, Joy Smithers, Melissa Jaffer and Melita Jurisic.

Miller has cast many of these actors from his Aussie homeland, as well as having worked with some of them over the course of his career. A few were even set to appear in his now defunct JUSTICE LEAGUE project from a few years ago. We also have a number of set photos below, showing even more of the unique and frankly wacky vehicles that will feature in the upcoming films. More of which you can see HERE AND HERE

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
