Recently we posted the poster from Dan Bradley’s RED DAWN remake, and now we’ve stumbled across the full trailer. The action thriller has been stewing for a few years, caught up in MGM’s financial woes and criminally delayed. But with star Chris Hemsworth now a genuine superstar, RED DAWN is finally set for release.
The film is a remake of the 1984 ‘classic’, in which Patrick Swayze, C. Thomas Howell, and Charlie Sheen defend their hometown against Russian commie invaders. Thirty years later, and the communist threat is still at large, only now it’s those pesky North Koreans looking to storm the good ol’ US of A, leaving Hemsworth, Josh Peck, and charisma vacuum Josh Hutcherson to save the day.
Whilst the new RED DAWN marks the directorial debut of Dan Bradley, he’s been working as a stunt coordinator since 1983, suggesting that if nothing else, the action should be absolutely bangarang.
Check out the teaser below!
RED DAWN arrives in UK cinemas early 2013.
