Winstead Will Return For A Good Day To Die Hard

An extra working on the set of John Moore’s action sequel A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD has let slip that the Bambi-eyed beauty Mary Elizabeth Winstead will reprise her role from Len Wiseman’s enjoyable fourth effort DIE HARD 4.0. The young actress, last seen in the better-than-expected sci-fi/horror prequel THE THING and the bonkers ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, will return as Bruce Willis’ rebellious daughter Lucy for the fifth film in the action-packed franchise. His ‘tweet’ give us this little tidbit:

Got to work with Bruce Willis again, which is always nice. The best, though, was that I got to work with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who plays Willis’ daughter.

It’s not sure just how much she features in the plot considering the story will see Willis’ heroic cop John McClane, team-up with his son, played by Jai Courtney, to tackle terrorists in Moscow. It’s possible her appearance could be a quick cameo to tie in with the last film and nothing more. We’ll see when the film, co-starring Sebastian Koch, Yulia Snigir, Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Anne Vyalitsyn, is released 14th February 2013. Also expect us here in the UK to be judged incapable of deciphering the title. DIE HARD 5 is what we’ll get I’m sure.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
