Joe Carnahan To Take On Daredevil!

A reboot of blind lawyer-turned-superhero DAREDEVIL recently lost a very capable director in David Slade, who vacated the project due to commitments on forthcoming serial-killer series HANNIBAL. That project will chronicle the early relationship of Thomas Harris’ flesh-eater Hannibal Lecter and FBI profiler Will Graham, with Slade due to helm the feature-length pilot.

However, we could have a very decent filmmaker in the form of Joe Carnahan taking over. The director of enjoyable efforts THE A-TEAM and SMOKIN’ ACES, not to forget amazing and intense thrillers NARC and THE GREY is in talks to now helm the project. If an agreement is reached, the project will get underway after Carnahan finishes shooting his upcoming DEATH WISH remake.  If rumours are correct we’ll see him unite with Liam Neeson for a third time for the revenge-thriller based on the controversial Michael Winner/Charles Bronsan collaboration from 1974.

We’ll keep you posted!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
