Akiva Goldsman’s directorial debut WINTER’S TALE is a long way off but it’s gathering quite the cast: Russell Crowe, Colin Farrell, and Will Smith are all signed up with William Hurt also added. Hurt, who was Oscar nominated for A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, will play the father of a dying woman who falls in love with a thief in her home. Academy Award-winning scribe Goldsman is writing and directing the adaptation of Mark Helprin’s novel, and with a cast like this we can’t wait to see the final product to arrive sometime next year.

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
