Before crushing throats and breaking backs in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, Tom Hardy was pissing off another group of iconic figures in STAR TREK: NEMESIS. The film was the last journey for the STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION crew and would become the lowest grossing Star Trek film of all time. The franchise lay low and went for a complete reboot in 2009 with J.J. Abrams’ STAR TREK.
Hardy played an evil clone of Patrick Stewart’s Jean-Luc Picard. Below is a video of Hardy’s screen test, compared with his final performance in the film. He’s obviously undergone some prosthetic work to look more like Stewart in the final film.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.

Innteresting.
Nemesis is actually one of my favourite Trek movies, and it’s fascinating to see some new behind-the-scenes footage.
Thanks for posting.
