Even though THE EXPENDABLES proved a crushing disappointment, that hasn’t stopped THN getting over-excited at the prospect of a sequel. Let’s see it as Sly and Co’s chance to make amends and deliver the all-action violence-fest we deserve from such a awesome ensemble. With CON AIR’s Simon West at the helm, THN is confident they’ll pull it off. Not to mention this week’s news that THE EXPENDABLES 2 will receive an R-rating (despite protests from Chuck Norris over colourful language) – which always bodes well for a shameless action rollercoaster.
This time, the crew will find themselves on a mission in hostile territory and hungry for revenge when one of them is murdered. The new film also sees new blood joining the old guard, and the addition of some more vintage action stars.
