If one of your weird fantasy dreams is to see Gwyneth Paltrow in an IRON MAN suit, it may soon come true. Like a lot of our news recently, reports have come from the San Diego Comic Con that the makers of the comic adaptation have toyed with the idea of putting Miss Paltrow in her own costume, à la the original material.
Speaking at the panel for IRON MAN 3, Kevin Feige (of Marvel) said that everyone at the table thought it would be ‘the coolest thing’. It would be in keeping with the source material as Gwenny’s character, Pepper Potts, actually receives her own armor in the series. And – check this – while wearing it, her nickname is…Rescue. Jon Favreau, the director behind the first two IRON MAN films, said that the team had spoken about it a few times and that they all ‘want to see Gwyneth kick a little ass’. In my opinion it’s about time she took some of the limelight away from co-star Robert Downey Jr.!
IRON MAN 3, directed by Shane Black, is currently in production. It is due for release from 26th April 2013.
