Thomas Jane Back As The Punisher In Awesome New Short!

This morning THN reported that the brilliant Thomas Jane was back, albeit too briefly, as ruthless vigilante and Marvel anti-hero Frank Castle. THE PUNISHER (as he is more commonly known) appears in this fantastically brutal new 10-minute short, which we promised to showcase. The fan-made film was directed by Phil Joanou with the blessing of Marvel Studios.

With the rights now reverted back to Marvel, could we finally get another bad-ass PUNISHER pic, maybe one with Jane back in the infamous skull shirt? If this is what we may have to look forward to, it moves top of the slate in my book. THE MIST actor also had this to say:

I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.

So here it is in all its gory glory! Be warned it’s not for the faint of heart!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
