Following the critical success that was ATTACK THE BLOCK and his work on Spielberg’s TINTIN, Joe Cornish now looks set to adapt graphic novel RUST: VISITOR IN THE FIELD for Fox. The novel trails Jet Jones – a lost space resident – who crashes to earth whilst being hot-tailed by a big old war robot. This film should be more in the ET family model than the debauched THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH and with Cornish (apparently) on board I’m excited as hell – he seems to have the midas touch and FOX should be well happy with what he comes up with; but what do you the THN public reckon?

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
