Not to be outdone by the return of the film franchise Sam Raimi lovingly built (and, yes, subsequently ruined) he has released the first trailer for OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL and I’ve got to say it looks pretty impressive. It’s no WIZARD OF OZ but it’s not trying to be, even though it’s a prequel to the classic. Starring James Franco, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Mila Kunis, the film is due for release from 8th March next year and you can view the trailer below:

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
