Disney have released an old fashioned B-Movie trailer for FRANKENWEENIE at this year’s Comic-Con. It has everything you could possibly ask for – words in a chilling font slide across the screen and a voice-over sums up the plot for us. This is all very suitable for this black and white film, based on Tim Burton’s 1984 short film of the same name, which was an homage to the likes of FRANKENSTEIN (1931). We also see a lot of new footage suggesting a more complicated monster outbreak. This could either be adding something original to the story, or the writers found it hard to stretch the story out..
This all fits in nicely with the recently released old fashioned poster.
FRANKENWEENIE is released 17th October 2012. It stars the voices of Charlie Tahan, Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder, Atticus Shaffer, Martin Short and Martin Landau.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
