Watch! Great ParaNorman ‘Making Norman’ Trailer

Here’s something a little different and a lot of awesome. A brief ‘making of’ clip that shows the creation of Norman from this autumn’s PARANORMAN. The film follows a young boy named…that’s right, Clive. Huh? I’m just getting news that they’ve changed the protagonist’s name to Norman for some reason. Anyway, Norman must do battle with the paranormal ghosts and ghouls that are plaguing his town.

This quick snippet shows Norman’s skeleton being sketched, and then put together, before having his body cast around it. This is a great little treat that I hope will inspire kids to take a look at how their favourite films are made. It also reminds us of the hands on skill and attention to detail that goes into making these little characters. It’s a lot more exciting than seeing a bunch of guys rendering pixels on a computer.

PARANORMAN will be released in the UK 14th September 2012. It stars the vocal talents of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Anna Kendrick, John Goodman, Leslie Mann, Casey Affleck, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
