Yesterday, THN brought you the first gory image and stylish poster for the multi-talented RZA’s new action-epic THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS. The former hip-hop star has now made the transition to movies seem effortless after roles in some major projects. However, his latest has him serving as c0-writer (alongside Eli Roth), director and star in an homage to the 1970s classic samurai/kung-fu flicks (and maybe a little of John Carpenter’s BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA).
The film will see RZA reunite with his AMERICAN GANGSTER and THE NEXT THREE DAYS co-star Russell Crowe as well as Lucy Lui, Jamie Chung, Rick Yune and Pam Grier. You can see Quentin Tarantino’s inspiration all over this trailer, even opening with the ‘Quentin Tarantino Presents’ tag, just so you don’t forget. Like KILL BILL, it looks a whole heap of violent, blood-spilling fun.
