After the box-office behemoth that is AVENGERS ASSEMBLE, try not to let movie superhero fatigue set in. After all we still have Marc Webb’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, a darker reboot of Marvel’s iconic web-spinning wall crawler. Not forgetting a little film called THE DARK KNIGHT RISES in which we’ll finally see Christopher Nolan’s epic conclusion to arguably the greatest set of superhero movies of all-time.
Below THN has acquired two terrific IMAX posters for both forthcoming films. THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN is released 3rd July and will see the excellent Andrew Garfield take over the role previously played by Tobey Maguire in Sam Raimi’s original hit and miss trilogy. However, all eyes will be on THE DARK KNIGHT RISES to see if it can beat AVENGERS ASSEMBLE’s astonishing business. Christian Bale’s final outing as Batman hits cinemas 20th July.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
