The runaway success of Michael C. Hall as conflicted serial-killer Dexter Morgan, has been nothing short of astonishing. Who’d have thought the grisly goings on in Florida could have you rooting for a man who slices and dices his victims into fish food. If you’re a fan of the show and an avid viewer, like myself, the saga has had its jaw-dropping moments, with cliff-hanger climaxes leaving us hungry for more. No more so than last season’s edge-of-your-seat ending.
With the confirmation that Hall will only return for two more seasons of DEXTER, and the promise that the upcoming plot will flow from season 7 to 8 and tidy up the series to a satisfactory conclusion, we’re eager to see just what’s in store for our favourite blood-spatter expert-turned-butcher. Will his sister Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) accept Dexter’s lifestyle, and if so, can she live with herself? Or will Dexter see plastic sheets in her future? There isn’t long before we find out… So here’s the teaser for season 7, which will begin airing on Showtime 30th September in the US, and expected in the UK next year.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
