Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese’s latest collaboration, THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, may just have found its female lead. Aussie stunner Margot Robbie is currently in negotiations for the role Jordan Belfort’s (DiCaprio) long-suffering other half. THE WOLF OF WALL STREET is based on Belfort’s own novel, that tells of the dramatic rise and disastrous fall of the infamous corporate banker. His drug-fuelled, hard partying lifestyle, coupled with his daily risk tasking led to a stint in prison for his part in a major fraud scheme.
THE SOPRANOS regular writer Terrence Winter adapted the novel and the filmmakers have already confirmed the involvement of DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and Kyle Chandler. It’s also expected that THE ARTIST Oscar-winner, Jean Dujardin will join the cast. Robbie has previously appeared in the now-legendary Australian soap NEIGHBOURS and more recently in the short-lived, high-flying series PAN AM, with Christina Ricci.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
