Wow, when will Disney learn? After the turgid mess that was JOHN CARTER (OF MARS) – which helped the studio to record losses of $200 million – it would appear they are letting another big project get out of hand; THE LONE RANGER, Gore Verbinski’s latest, is rumoured to be pushing north of its $250 million budget and if stories are to be believed is massively behind schedule with re-writes taking place on-set, now I’ve not made a blockbuster before but I’m guessing that this is probably the worst thing that could happen. When you consider even before filming began people questioned Armie Hammer (MIRROR, MIRROR) in the lead role and Johnny Depp doing a Captain Jack on us as Tonto, so the question has to be asked, is this a story we need to see on the big-screen? What do you think scroll down, leave a comment and let us know.
THE LONE RANGER also stars Helena Bonham Carter, Barry Pepper and Tom Wilkinson and is scheduled to be released 3rd July 2013.

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
