Viral websites and video campaigns add depth to many films these days. However, it comes as a fresh surprise that 20th Century Fox have started one of their most-anticipated movies the good old-fashioned way – paper. With Father’s Day just around the corner, Fox are beginning to ramp up expectation for Liam Neeson’s return in TAKEN 2 by sending out cards for the forthcoming action sequel.
Neeson’s back as retired CIA operative Bryan Mills, who will this time do battle with the vengeful father of one of the kidnappers from the first film. Mills is the one targeted this time, while on a trip to Istanbul with daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) and reconciled wife Lenore (Famke Janssen). TRANSPORTER 3 and COLUMBIANA director Oliver Megaton takes charge of a script for Luc Besson.
TAKEN 2 is released 5th October and co-stars Rade Serbedzija, Leland Orser, Luke Grimes, Aclan Bates and we can’t bloody wait!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
