Right off the bat, I love Wes Anderson; THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS is one of my favourite ever films and the much maligned THE DARJEELING LIMITED is, in my eyes, genius: now we’ve got that out the way I can introduce a video from our friends (not really we don’t know them) at The Hollywood Reporter. In the video Anderson talks about his influences to the really rather annoying interviewer and it’s nice to hear him eulogise over some greats – Kubrick, Scorsese and Huston to name a few, and their influence on his work whilst saying a little on MOONRISE KINGDOM. It’s not going to change your world this video but for an Anderson fan it’s a little treat:

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
