‘Prometheus’ End Credits Create More Mystery!

So what did you all think of PROMETHEUS? Epic? Stunning? Disappointing? Or all of the above?

The film has us here at THN in hot debate. Whilst not a perfect film, PROMETHEUS certainly has its jaw-dropping moments. It also has its share of unanswered questions, which the end credits may have added to. Don’t worry – you didn’t miss any extra footage, but the Weyland Corp logo featured at the very end of said credits, has just unearthed another viral video (featuring Guy Pearce’s Peter Weyland), along with the date of 10.11.12 now leaving fanboys eager to know more!

It appears there is more yet to be revealed, further complicated by the new website whatis101112.com. Rumours suggest this could be the date of the DVD/Blu-ray release, which Ridley Scott has now confirmed will have an extra 20 minutes of footage. While others link it to the date that Weyland Corp becomes Weyland Industries. Both are possible, but perhaps there is something more to this date. Could Ridley Scott have a few tricks and secrets up his sleeve?

THN would love to believe PROMETHEUS was the first part of a secret back-to-back shot ALIEN prequel, with 10.11.12 being the next installment’s release date. A kind of bridge film from PROMETHEUS to ALIEN. We can dream… although if it happens you heard it hear first!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
