Any lifelong Tim Burton fans (including myself) – this is your morning! According to reports, Burton has put together a travelling exhibition of puppets, art work and props from his upcoming black-and-white 3D creation FRANKENWEENIE.
The film, based on Burton’s 1984 short stop-motion creation of the same name, focuses on Victor, a little boy whose dog dies. Being an inventive little boy (and a creation of Burton) he decides to use science to bring his pup back to life – but this has uncontrollable consequences. Charlie Tahan (CHARLIE ST. CLOUD), Winona Ryder (BLACK SWAN), Martin Short (MARS ATTACKS!), Martin Landau (ED WOOD), Atticus Shaffer (THE MIDDLE) and long-time Burton collaborator Catherine O’Hara (BEETLEJUICE) all lend their voices to the film, which will be Burton’s second release of this year (the first being DARK SHADOWS).
The Art Of Frankenweenie exhibition will show off art work from the film, 200 character puppets and sets used during the filming, giving fans an up close and personal view of Burton’s craftwork and the skill his team possesses. The show will be travelling across America over the next few months and will reach England by October, just in time for the release date.
FRANKENWEENIE, directed by Tim Burton, is due for release from 5th October 2012.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
