Who’d have though that Steve Jobs’ life story would inspire an ARMAGEDDON Vs DEEP IMPACT-style situation? (or DANTE’S PEAK Vs VOLCANO if you really want to get into it) But that exactly what’s happening, as there are two rival Steve Jobs biopics in the works. The first is written by revered screenwriter Aaron Sorkin. The second stars Ashton Kutcher. Hmmmm…
Regardless, it seems Matthew Modine (Remember him? No?) has joined the Kutcher-starring JOBS. He is set to play John Sculley, the former Pepsi boss who took over Apple and booted Stevie boy out in the mid 1980s. The swine.
Still, it all worked out for the best, and Sculley got the chop himself in 1993 when Apple’s business declined, ready for Jobs to return and save the mother-effing day.
JOBS will be directed by Joshua Michael Stern and is set for release 2013.
