Tom Holland To Write And Direct The Ten O’Clock People

Tom Holland is certainly no stranger to Stephen King’s work having previously directed on-screen adaptations of THE LANGOLIERS (1995) and THINNER (1996). Cut to present day and it would seem that we can expect King and Holland to be teaming up once again, this time for inhuman horror THE TEN O’CLOCK PEOPLE.

Unusually for King’s stories, the plot is not centred within a fictional environment but in a very real and recognisable Boston, Massachusetts, where Pearson, a heavy smoker, is doing his best to quit his nicotine addiction after it begins to cause him health problems. However, his best efforts are met with a disturbing reality – that people really aren’t what they seem.

Holland, also the director of the original FRIGHT NIGHT (1985), is looking to create “a modernization” of the original story which King wrote whilst trying to put out his own smoking habits.
