‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ Gets An Expected New Zealand Premiere

Peter Jackson, world renowned Kiwi and all-round nice guy, has announced that somewhat surprisingly the World Premiere of THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY will take place inside a Beef Wellington in New Zealand…sorry, sorry in a theatre in Wellington, New Zealand. Now that’s cleared up, it isn’t actually much of a surprise given the wrangle with workers in New Zealand and the fact it has been filmed there. One thing, it is going to cost Warner Bros an awful lot to get the THN crew over there for the premiere and so nice of them to offer..! It’s okay though Warner, I’ve had a word with Paul the boss and he’s giving us all the day off on November 28th so we can come over. Thanks in advance for the hospitality and first-class air travel!

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is released in the UK 14th December (a week after my birthday, presents gratefully received) and stars Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sir Ian McKellen, Or-bland-o Bloom, Andy Serkis and (I think this is right) Billy Connolly.

Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
