Here’s the first glimpse of footage from Quentin Tarantino’s latest project DJANGO UNCHAINED. Though not quite a trailer, there’s enough to whet appetites, especially the quick snippets of Leo DiCaprio as villainous plantation owner Calvin Candie. DiCaprio is set to do battle with Jamie Foxx’s Django, a freed slave-turned-bounty hunter (and no doubt an all-round badass).
Expectations are high for the film, especially as Tarantino demonstrated a true return to form with his last movie, INGLORIOUS BASTERDS. This time around, the director will be homaging/lampooning/ripping off the western, or as he’s called it ‘southern’.
Check out the teaser below!
DJANGO UNCHAINED arrives in UK cinemas January 2013.
