Indie film MONSTER BUTLER has been doing a bit more casting and has announced a couple of key players; Dominic Monaghan (LOST), Joanne Whalley (WILLOW), Malcolm McDowell (A CLOCKWORK ORANGE) and, as if those names weren’t enough, Director Douglas Rath has obtained the services of living legend Gary Oldman he of Commissioner Gordon fame. That’s a great cast list and with writer Peter Bellwood (HIGHLANDER) on screenplay duty this true-story of a murderous con-man could become a cult classic.
With THN’s appetite wet from this news how do you feel about the project, is Oldman enough to lift it above much of the average fair currently on the indie scene?
MONSTER BUTLER is in pre-production and will be released in 2013.

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
