THN has high hopes for this remake of Paul Verhoeven and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1990 sci-fi actioner. Okay, as a director Len Wiseman may not have set the world alight but his UNDERWORLD and DIE HARD efforts had their moments, albeit very few. It is a tough ask to top the previous classic, both Wiseman and star Colin Farrell have their work cut out. However, the footage we have seen so far suggests this TOTAL RECALL, could be a blast!
Below we have another TV spot for the adventure that promises to stick a lot closer to the original source material, We Can Remember It For You Wholesale, by Phillip K. Dick. The film lands in cinemas 22nd August and co-stars Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale, John Cho, Jessica Biel, Bokeem Woodbine, Ethan Hawke and Bill Nighy.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
