If you were to make a list of actors to play an American President I think Bill Murray would be somewhere near the middle, but not Roger Mitchell. Murray was right at the top as he’s cast him as Franklin Roosevelt alongside Laura Linney (KINSEY) in HYDE PARK ON HUDSON.
Focusing on a 1939 visit of the King and Queen of good old blighty, the film looks like a fantastic platform for Linney, Murray and Olivia Williams (TYRANNOSAUR, HOT FUZZ) obvious talents and I must say I’m really looking forward to it and to back up my enthusiasm I’ve got a little trailer below for you to have a look at, so let me know what you think:
HYDE PARK ON HUDSON will arrive in UK cinemas later this year.

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
