Our good friends at Way To Blue have today sent us a couple of exciting trailers for indie project THE ADDICTED, a new UK horror film, one a red band and the other a safe for work trailer so give your eyes a good scare. Not just this though, oh no, there’s also a press-release to have a read of, so get your roller-ball out and scroll on:
In 1987, David is a resident at ‘The Manor’ Drug Rehab Unit. Whilst there he is being kept addicted to heroin by a Clinical Director Chris Hunter whilst he has an affair with David’s wife. Chris eventually poisons David with contaminated heroin leaving him with horrendous facial disfigurement and chronic pain. David soon hangs himself. 25 years later and we follow Chris’s daughter Nicole as she tries to break into TV journalism. Her boyfriend (Adam) suggests they spend a night filming with friends in the now derelict Drug Rehab unit. There have been recent reports of paranormal goings-on and they plan to try and film them.
It soon becomes clear however that they are very much not alone…
Now for those great trailers, this first one is NOT for the faint-hearted!
This one’s a bit nicer though…honest:
This looks like bleeding petrifying stuff and it’s great to see the UK giving us an almighty scare. Directed and Written by Sean J Vincent THE ADDICTED doesn’t currently have a release date but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we love the look of it.
Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
