From what we have seen so far from Laika Studio’s upcoming horror-comedy PARANORMAN, it looks be a lovable film for both adults and kids. Using the same techniques as WALLACE & GROMIT, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS and most recently THE PIRATES: AN ADVENTURE WITH SCIENTISTS, this latest stop-motion feature tells the story of ‘outsider’ Norman. His uncanny ability to communicate with the dead – which had previously made his life a misery at the hands of bullies – comes in handy when his hometown is invaded by zombies.
Below is a brilliant new poster for the film – check it out!
PARANORMAN is, directed by Chris Butler and Sam Fell, and has a top cast providing the voices, including Leslie Mann, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck, John Goodman, Jeff Garlin and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. It arrives in UK cinemas 14th September.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
