HBO have unveiled the full trailer for season 5 of TRUE BLOOD and the series appears to be returning to its roots. After an entire season of witches, fairies, haunted dolls and were-panthers — yes, that’s a thing — TRUE BLOOD has redirected its focus back to humans and vampires.
The trailer below features lots of brand new footage from season 5 including Bill and Eric’s uncharacteristic bromance, Sookie’s silly light-up hands power, and Rev. Steve Newlin as a vampire (!). Okay, I’m pretty psyched for the return of Steve Newlin and TRUE BLOOD’s biggest villain to date: Russell Edgington. The vampire King gave us the best moment of the series so far and I’d like more of the same campy nonsense, HBO.
