Back in March we posted news on Richard Curtis’ plan for time-travel drama-comedy ABOUT TIME. Back then, Zooey Deschanel was attached to the leading lady role. Well, rumours ‘confirm’ that Rachel McAdams has accepted the part.
McAdams, who found fame through MEAN GIRLS (2004) and THE NOTEBOOK (2004), recently finished filming for Terence Malick’s still-untitled project, so she’ll have plenty of time to work with Curtis. She’ll be starring alongside Domhnall Gleeson, who is better known as Bill Weasley in the HARRY POTTER franchise. Also featuring in the film will be Bill Nighy, Margot Robbie, Lydia Wilson, Tom Hollander and Vanessa Kirby.
Having already dabbled in a little science fiction writing (in 2010, Richard wrote the script for an episode of DOCTOR WHO) he’ll be well-prepared for his own time travel project. With Curtis holding the reigns and McAdams and Nighy on board, ABOUT TIME could be a huge comedy hit!
ABOUT TIME, directed by Richard Curtis, is currently in pre-production.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
