I have always found Cole Hauser as a very under appreciated actor, just like his father Wings (yes, really). After some terrific turns in the likes of PITCH BLACK, TIGERLAND and GOOD WILL HUNTING, I expected Hauser to go on to become a huge star. Only for supporting roles in generic actioners, 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS, TEARS OF THE SUN and HARTS WAR, to have become the norm. Although he was ace as the lead in PAPARAZZI, which I found to be a blast.

This brings us to the news that Hauser has been cast as the lead villain ‘Collins’, in the latest DIE HARD adventure. He will join the John Moore directed sequel, that will see him square off against Bruce Willis dirty-vested, heroic cop John McClane as well as Jai Courtney as McClane’s son Jack, in the Russian-set pic. The film is currently titled A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD, which will no doubt be changed for us here in the UK, as DIE HARD 5 on its release next year.
