Brendan Gleeson is ‘An Ordinary Man’

Ok, ok we know he isn’t but he will be for one film, and one film only you see Gleeson (IN BRUGE) and Abbie Cornish (W.E) have signed up for low-budget Brit-pic AN ORDINARY MAN which will be directed and written by Brad Silberling (MOONLIGHT MILE).

In the film Gleeson will play a war criminal with the focus on his relationship with his one human contact Cornish, playing his maid. It doesn’t sound very much in the IN BRUGE or THE GUARD mould we’ll admit but with two very strong leads this could be well worth a look. You’ll have a wait though as it starts filming in ‘the fall’ which I think is the autumn, but I’m never sure.

What do you lovely readers think; Gleeson and Cornish a match made in heaven or a one way ticket to British cinema hell? Where let’s be honest it will have a lot of company.

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
