Pattinson And Pearce Go For ‘Rover’

Guy Pearce has a number of great projects on the horizon with Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS, John Hillcoat’s LAWLESS and of course the villain in IRON MAN 3. Now we can confirm Pearce will re-team with his ANIMAL KINGDOM director David Michod, to headline Aussie outback thriller ROVER.

Pearce, most recently seen in futuristic-thriller LOCKOUT, will star alongside Robert Pattinson, who we reported yesterday will headline the story of Saddam Hussein’s capture with MISSION: BLACKLIST. ROVER will see Pattinson play one of two criminals who steals Pearce’s character’s car, only to see them pursued through the notoriously tough terrain by the determined victim. The plot was the brainchild of Michod and his fellow Aussie actor/writer/producer Joel Edgerton.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
