Jon Favreau Joins Identity Theft

Actor and director Jon Favreau has signed up to appear in Universal comedy IDENTITY THEFT. Favreau is best known for  his leading role alongside Vince Vaughn in SWINGERS and his work behind the camera for IRON MAN. Or, if you’re a sophisticated guy like me you’ll know him as Monica’s millionaire boyfriend in FRIENDS…

Favreu joins the existing cast of Jason Bateman and BRIDESMAIDS break-out star Melissa McCarthy. IDENTITY THEFT tells the story of a mild-mannered man (Bateman) whose life is destroyed when a ‘trainwreck of a woman’ steals his identity. Favreau will star as Bateman’s boss, with Amanda Peet portraying Bateman’s boss.

IDENTITY THEFT will be directed by HORRIBLE BOSSES helmer Seth Gordon. Originally written by Steve Conrad (THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS), the script has since been rewritten by THE HANGOVER 2’s Craig Mazin.
