There’s no denying, any new Quentin Tarantino film sparks a certain amount of excitement. And after INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, the director’s finest work since PULP FICTION, expectations for DJANGO UNCHAINED are understandably high.
The western – or ‘southern’ as Tarantino has described it – tells the story a Djano (Jamie Foxx), a freed slave-turned-bounty hunter, who plans a rescue mission to save his wife from a Mississippi plantation owner.
Check out these new images from the film: in the first we see Jamie Foxx as the titular Django, and Chritoph Waltz as Dr King Schultz, Django’s bounty hunter mentor. Also, check out Leonardo DiCaprio on top villainous form as Calvin Candie, the dastardly slave owner who keeps Django’s wife in his Candie Land brothel.
DJANGO UNCHAINED co-stars Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington, Don Johnson, and Walton Goggins. It arrives in UK cinemas January 2013.
