Michael Sheen is to join the cast of ADMISSION, alongside current comedy favourites Tina Fey and Paul Rudd.
The film is based on the novel by Jean Hanff Korelitz and is about a college admissions officer (Fey) who meets an old friend from her school days (Rudd) and sparks fly. The problem is, she already has a boyfriend, now played by Sheen.
This won’t be the first time Sheen has played Fey’s love interest (lucky sod) as they were together in the brilliant 30 ROCK. He played an annoying Englishman named Wesley Snipes, possibly referring to Snipes being the only person in the the world Sheen hasn’t portrayed yet. They had great chemistry and it was fun to see the normally very intense star let his luxurious hair down. He will be a great addition to ADMISSION we can’t wait to see it.
The film will be directed by Paul Weitz (ABOUT A BOY and the upcoming BEING FLYNN). It is adapted from Korelitz’s novel by Karen Croner, who wrote the soon to be released Uma Thurman feature, GIRL SOLDIER. Sheen will next be seen in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2.
So, y’know. He’s not perfect.
