Back in February, we posted news on the new apocalypse comedy SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD, starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley. Well, now we have some new images to show you!
This is Lorene Scafaria’s directorial debut (she’s featured in the first image) – she’s better known as a screenplay writer and made a name for herself adapting the novel for NICK AND NORAH’S INFINITE PLAYLIST (2008). Although the UK release date hasn’t been announced yet, these images should tide us over for a while. It’s exciting to see Knightley in a not-so-serious role and this film should be right up Carell’s street, since his forte seems to comedy.
I’m hoping we’ll get more release date news soon as this could be comedy gold and a real boost for Carell and Knightley’s careers – a somewhat unusual pairing which seems to work.
SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD is due for a US release from 22nd June, 2012.
