Any fans of the original theatre production are probably already on top of this, but here we have some set photos of Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman filming the movie version of LES MISERABLES.
The photos show a huge change from Hathaway, who cut her hair short for the role of Fantine. Many people have been commenting on her ‘weight loss’, but this may be down to her rigorous filming schedule and exercise routine she took up for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, which is currently in post-production.
As for Jackman, these photos show a dramatic difference to the ones we originally posted in March of his character Jean Valjean.
Directed by Tom Hooper (director behind Oscar-winning film THE KING’S SPEECH), the film also stars Russell Crowe (Inspector Javert), Eddie Redmayne (Marius Pontmercy), Sacha Baron Cohen (Thénardier), Aaron Tveit (Enjolras), Amanda Seyfried (Cosette), Samantha Barks (Éponine) and Helena Bonham Carter (Madame Thénardier). The stage show already has fans worldwide and with a cast this packed with talent, this adaptation will be very successful.
LES MISERABLES, directed by Tom Hooper, is set for release from 14th December, 2012.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
