Released in September the marketing campaign for Walter Sallas ON THE ROAD, based on Jack Kerouac’s seminal novel of the same name, is gathering pace, well maybe more meandering over to us every now and then.
In recent weeks we’ve had the release of character posters for all the main protagonists (you can view these here) but we now have our Sal Paradise (Sam Riley – CONTROL, FRANKLYN) portrait to add to the collection. Given ON THE ROAD’S largely auto-biographical structure Riley isn’t a bad likeness for author Jack Kerouac, regardless the poster’s great and I for one can’t wait for the film.
What do you think? Can Sallas continue where he left off with THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES? Check out the new poster and trailer below, and let us know.
ON THE ROAD also stars Viggo Mortensen, Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund and Kirsten Dunst and is released 21st September.

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
