No, the action mega-stars are not reuniting for a new restaurant chain, after famously losing millions with Planet Hollywood, this is in fact a new shot from their sequel to the 2010 hit, THE EXPENDABLES. Sylvester Stallone promised an action-extravaganza the likes of which have never seen before with the first film and yet, it definitely disappointed many fans with its lukewarm set-pieces and dire dialogue.
Hopefully, with Stallone handing directing duties over to CON AIR’s Simon West as well as meatier roles from THE TERMINATOR and DIE HARD actors, we can finally get the film we were hoping for with THE EXPENDABLES 2.
THE EXPENDABLES 2 explodes into cinemas 17th August and will see newcomers (to the series) Liam Hemsworth, Jean Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris and Scott Adkins appear alongside returnees Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Terry Crews and of course Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Willis.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
