A trio of British actresses, Emily Watson (WAR HORSE), Anna Friel (LIMITLESS) and Lena Headey (300) are set to play in the new film called THE POISONERS.
Described in The Hollywood Reporter as being “a dark comedy about women left behind in an English farming community during World War I who become involved with several German prisoners-of-war”, it will begin filming this summer in Ireland and Germany.
THE POISONERS will be directed by Jon Amiel (CREATION) and was written by Paul Billing. Also attached to the film are Ken Duken, Hanno Koffler and Alexander Scheer, who we can assume will play the roles of the German prisoners-of-war.
