As a director, Oliver Stone’s films hit the mark more than they miss and always try to make a statement about the world we live in. Yes, he has had the odd disaster with the likes of ALEXANDER and the over-sentimental WORLD TRADE CENTER, but his career output features masterpieces like PLATOON, JFK and the ferocious, controversial smash NATURAL BORN KILLERS.
Now we have the first poster for his latest thriller SAVAGES, that tells the story of a drug-dealing couple who become mixed-up with a major Mexican cartel. The film is based on the best-selling novel by Don Winslow, who also had a hand in the screenplay.
SAVAGES is unleashed 28th September and stars Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta, Emile Hirsch, Benicio Del Toro, Uma Thurman and Salma Hayek.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
