New Images From Ron Howard’s F1 Biopic ‘Rush’

We have a collection of behind-the-scenes images from director Ron Howard’s currently-shooting, racing biopic RUSH. The film will tell the fact-based story of drivers Niki Lauda and James Hunt, whose close friendship turned to an intense personal rivalry, during the 1976 Formula 1 championship. With both drivers pushing their skills to the limit in pursuit of the sport’s top prize,  no margin for error could be left in the fastest and most dangerous sport in the world.

No stranger to biopics is Peter Morgan (THE QUEEN, THE DAMNED UNITED, FROST/NIXON) who has penned the film’s screenplay. RUSH stars Daniel Bruhl, Chris Hemsworth, Olivia Wilde, Natalie Dormer and Christian McKay, and expected early next year.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
