This afternoon, the quad poster for Vincent Cassel in THE MONK has been released and what a fine, Gothic-encased presence it gives us. Cassel has been noted of late for that powerful gaze and it’s fully the focus of this poster.
THE MONK is based on the 1796 novel by Matthew Lewis and at the time, the book was notorious for its horrifying imagery. The story follows Capucino Ambrosio (Not a coffee or a custard) who’s lured down the path of carnal persuasion, despite his sacred religious beliefs…

THE MONK is released in the UK on April 27th. It’s directed by Dominik Moll and stars Vincent Cassel, Deborah Francois, Sergi Lopez and Josephine Japy.
